Did you have a Mitchell ancestor who lived or passed through Carroll County Tennessee in the 1800s?
There is a participant in the Mitchell surname DNA project who is from the William C. Mitchell and Nancy (Holmes?) family who were in Carroll County beginning in the 1840 Census.
We seek other Carroll County Mitchell families to be tested. The person who is tested must be a male Mitchell. Testing would confirm or rule out whether these families are related to one another; and may additionally provide previously unknown matches with Mitchells in other localities.
