Hi Lynn:

According to the Tennessee State Library and Archives, the only Fayette County tax list that they have is for 1836 and it has been microfilmed. Fortunately, many other early records for Fayette County have survived and quite a few have been abstracted and/or indexed. You might want to read my message #437 on this board explaining deed records and how to request a search and obtain copies of any deed of interest. I believe that LDS has many of these record too, you might want to check their microfilm holdings for Fayette County. I hope this helps. Rick
