Sevier and Roberts families of Greene county

I am trying to determine if there is in relationship between my wife's ancestors, John and Phoebe (Meyers/Moyers) Roberts and the Sevier family of east Tennessee, especially Valentine Sevier, Jr.

John and Phoebe Roberts m. August 7, 1790, in Greene county. Her father was (George) Adam Moyers who settled on or near the Nolichuky River near what is now the border of Greene and Washington counties in Tennessee on a land grant given him for service in the Revolutionary War. James Moore of Dayton, Ohio, says he has a copy of the marriage bond of John and Phoebe's son, Jesse Roberts who m. Hannah Marsh in Greene co. on Jan. 24, 1820, and that the surety for the marriage bond was Valentine Sevier. Jesse had a brother named James Valentine Roberts and a sister, Nancy (Roberts) Buller who named her second son John Valentine Buller and her third son Arthur Severe (possibly a misspelling of Sevier) Buller. All this leads me to believe there may possibly be some family connection between the Roberts or Meyers/Moyers and the Sevier families, but, if so, I have been unable to pin it down. If anyone has any information that would verify some connection I would appreciate it.
