Janice.

I ran across this in the Greene Co. Orphans and Guardians book.

1852 Monday 5th April
Page 264.. John H. Hays appointed guardian of Harvey, Franklin and Amanda Jane Phillips, Minor children of Royal Phillips, dec'd John Tadlock and Thomas Hays, securities.

Royal (Jane Bacon's) must have died prior to 1850 because the 1850 census has the three mentioned above living in a house with their brother Andrew Jackson Phillips, Elizabeth, and Mary Ann Phillips.

The 1850 Census also shows them living next door to John Phillips and Charles Phillips Probably on Johns land.
