I have been researching all of the children of David Nunley and Sarah Brown, with somewhat limited success, some family members better than others.
Do you live in Grundy County? Kirby Smith Irvin migrated to Hopkins County, Kentucky, as did Sarah Texas Nunley, her daughter, Mary Nunley, and Rufus Manus (Manes), the Grundy County Coal miner whom Sarah Texas Nunley married in Grundy County in 1875.(when Mary Nunley was 3 years old)
After both families settled in Kentucky, Kirby Smith Irvin married Mary Nunley in 1886. They are my great grandparents, on my father's side of the family.
