Hi Jackey,

The only Britton I have in my tree is Mary Britton that married Richard Sturch. Their son Mack Harrison Sturch was born 16 May 1882 in Independence Co. AR. Mack married Minnie Amelia Stuart 1909 and Minnie was a great granddaughter of William A. Henry b. 1804 Botetourt Co. VA and Elizabeth Francis Russell b. 1813 TN who married 14 Aug 1831 om Hardin Co. TN. Elizabeth Francis a daughter of Robert Russell who died 08 May 1850 in Hardin Co.

Jackey, I also see that you are researching the Monk and Strayhorn families and my husband's ancestors were residing next door to the Monk family in the 1860 Perry Co. AR Census. In fact, Susan Monk bore the maiden name of Anderson.

Residing next door to Wiliam and Christina or Christiana Anderson was the following:
B. R. Monk 34, b. TN, wife Susan age 30 born MS, & first son Tommy b. MS and rest of children born AR.

Susan was most probably related to our William Anderson. She was also born Mississippi which is what is shown in the 1860 Perry Co. AR Census for William Anderson.

Jim Monk shared the following with me some time back:

<Carolyn,

I believe Susan's maiden name was indeed Anderson. Two AR marriage records appear on Ancestry.com: Bryant R. Monk to Susan Anderson 07/25/1852. The county is variously listed as Hot Spring and Jefferson, although I'm inclined to think Jefferson would be correct (probably the Pine Bluff area since, as I recall, this is where his family lived).

Regards,
Jim Monk>>

Above you see Hot Spring Co. AR and then following the death of William Anderson, you find his wife Christiana in Hot Spring Co. in the 1880 Census:

1880 Census shows, Hot Spring County, Fenter Township:
Christianna ANDERSON 46 (1834), widow, born Ark, father born ? and mother born TN
Margaret Anderson 26, (1854) born Ark., father born TN and mother born Ark
James Anderson 23, (1857) son, born Ark, father born Tn, mother born Ark
William J. Anderson 19, (1861) son, born Ark, father born TN, mother born Ark
LOFTIN ANDERSON 12 (born 1868) Ark, father born TN, mother born Ark
Charles Anderson 4 (1876) son, Ark, TN, Ark
Thomas Anderson 7 son, Ark, TN, Ark (this could have been age 3)
Angelina 2 daughter, Ark, TN, Ark

I would love to visit with you regarding all of these families either online are directly to my e-mail address of cca44@aol.com

I am a direct Mason descendant also and the Ezekiel Campbell family married into our Mason line. Whether they are related in any way to these Campbell boys in Hardin Co. I have no idea. I am aware of a Henry and Campbell marriage early on and these boys would definitely fit as their sons but the only posting I've seen notes they moved north. If not, then with they too being originally in Illinois I do wonder if this the the Henry and Campbell union. If you might have answers I surely would welcome them.

Thanks for contacting me. I look forward to your reply.

Carolyn
