Hughling/Huling/Hulan Family - 1840/1850

I am researching my Hughling (Hulan) family found in the 1850 Hardin County, TN census.
They are William (born in 1809 in NC), wife Eliza (born 1811 in TN), Samuel L. (born 1831), Martha (born 1833-34), Rilen C. (born 1836), John C. (born 1837), William HENRY (born 1839), Thomas H. (born 1841) and Lucinda (born 1848). The family was in TN by the 1830's.

Two additional Huling families were in the 1850 census but I do not know of a connection. Any help would be appreciated.
