Fort Worth Tx Tues 11 Mar 2008 My GG Grand Father William Thomas Garrett was Bn in Cabell County WVa in 1822 His Wife My GG Grand Mother Caroline Butcher Bn Cabell County. Wva on 10 Mar 1826 Died 02 Oct 1882.Both Buried in his Garrett Cemetery Hardin Co Tn. We understood as the family, she has a tombstone with her name,but he is buried in the same grave, later, but he has no headstone. Their Children were Elizabeth M. Garrett bn ab 1844 Cabell County WVa, Mahala C. Garrett bn ab 1846 in Cabell County WVa .Martha Allice Bn 11 Feb 1853 William A. Garrett bn ab 1848 in Cabell County WVa. James P. Garrett bn ab 1849 in Cabell County WVa Virginia Alice Bn 1855 and My Great Grand Father Henry Thomas(Butcher) Garrett Bn Ab 25 Nov 1857 in Cabell County West Virgina.and Flora G. ab 1857 in Tn . GGRANDFather He was about 2 yr when they moved to Tennessee. My GGrandFather H. T. Married Albertine Stephenson, there in Hardin County 23 Nov 1873. My Grand father William Lafayette Garrett Bn ab 1877 & his sister,Mitalda Maude Alice Garrett Bn ab 1878 in Hardin Co Tn.and Before 1900, H T and Albertine and their children moved to Hood and Johnson County Texas.My Great Aunt Maude married at 16 years old to James Allen Bridges of Cleburn Texas Bn ab 1876. In 1903 W.L. Garrett graduated College at Venus Tx. as an Engneer , then all five moved to the Okla Panhandle, No Mans Land.Elmwood Okla in Beaver County Okla. The US Goverment gave each 160 acreas of a land Grant to farm and to raise a family.Question Are there any related Garretts left in Hardin County Tenn?
