I would enjoy corresponding with you! I am researching in the same area and know for a fact, my ancestor Strayhorn Monk lived in the general area you are researching. Strayhorn Monk b. 1787 Bertie Co, Nc was the son of Rachel Strayhorn, b. abt 1759 the daughter of George Strayhorn b. abt 1715 Scotland (?) and Elizabeth Ward b. Bertie Co, NC. Looking forward to hearing from you!
