Researching ancestors and descendants of Patrick DOUD Sr., born abt 1822 in County Monaghan, Ireland. Died in Civil War on 28 Dec 1863 near his farm in Bulls Gap, Hawkins County, TN.

Patrick DOUD married Elizabeth BROTHERTON on 21 Sep 1843 in Greene Co., TN. Elizabeth was born abt 1822 in North Carolia? Died on 17 May 1869 in Hawkins County, TN.

Elizabeth & Patrick had 7 children: Ellen May; James; Edward; Peter; Rhody Catherine; Mary A.; and Patrick Jr. Rhody Catherine and Patrick Jr. died as infants.
