The Russel/Rusel names listed in the index are: John, Elizabeth, Ann/Any, Betsey, Dolley, and Edmund.

John, Dolley, and Elizabeth Russel were listed as members when the church was constituted on 7 July 1802.

There were apparently two women named Elizabeth Russel/Rusel, since the church received by letter Elizabeth Russel on May 18th 1804. The roll of members from Sep 1804 shows John Russel, Dolly Russel, Elizabeth Russel, and Elizabeth Rusel.

On the first Saturday in January 1805 the church declares an unfellowship with Elizabeth Russel the wife of Edmund Russel.

The roll from 1805 shows John Russel, Dolly Russel, and Elizabeth Russel.

The first Saturday in August 1806 the church met and after worship opened a door for the reception of members. Recd by letter Any Russel. Dismissed by constitution a long list of members including the name of Betsey Russel.

The roll from September 1806 shows John, Dolly, and Betsey as dismissed by letter.

July the first Saturday 1807 Dismissed by letter Ann Russel.

I didn't read all the entries for the Russel/Rusel name, but these are the majority of the references to them.

The Shipman family is listed in only two entries. April the 16th 1803, received by letter Moses and Mary Shipman. Appointed brethren Moses Shipman and Lazarus Webb to go to Jacob Francisco to labor with him for the Sin of drunkeness and cite him to our next meeting. We as a Church agree to pay Daniel Shipman three Dollars to hew down our meeting house.

They apparently didn't stay long with this church as the last entry was September the 17th day of 1803 when we find dismissed by letter Moses and Mary Shipman.

If you are really interested in purchasing the minutes of this church it is probably still available from the Upper Cumberland Genealogical Association, Box 575, Cookeville, TN 38503-0575. That's where I got mine. It was about $10.

Hope that helps.
