I am tracing the siblings of Sarah Minks (and their descendants) through the available Federal Censuses. I have found her brother, Lafayette, in all census years between 1870 and 1930. I also have his children, except one, in the appropriate years.
His second child is listed as Raleigh E in the 1900 census and as Edward in the 1910 census. I have a note that he moved to Virginia. I cannot find him in the 1920 census. However, in the 1930 census there is an Edd Minks in Rocky Station District, Lee, VA. The census shows that he was born in Tennessee as were his parents and his age seems correct. Before I leap to conclusions I thought I would ask if anyone knows about this son of Lafayette.
