According to two newspaper articles that I have, the noted writer, Lewis A. Hardine, was an instructor of English in 1926. He was an instructor prior to that at the University of Idaho. Before that he was an instructor at the Spokane University in WA. In between, he practiced law, wrote books including the county history of Decatur Co., IN where he was born, lectured on law, and was a candidate for an office. I know by 1929 he was in Indianapolis. What I need is some information how long he was in Tennessee. Are there any archives in the University that might detail some of Lewis Harding's activities? Perhaps newsletters, etc. He was such a prolific writer, I can't help but think he would have contributed to university publications. I'm doing this research for a computerless professor of history who is writing a biography on Lewis Harding. Together we are finding the missing years.
