Enterprise - March 17, 1911
Mr. A. H. Mitchell died at his home near Old Dry Hill in the 7th district last Friday morning after an illness of oly 3 days of pneumonia. He is survived by a wife, one son, Mr. Eph Mitchell, and three daughters, Mrs. Andrew Hughes and Mrs. Will Garrett of this county, and Mrs Henry Garrett who resides in Arkansaas. He was about 58 years of age, a member of the Methodist church. Rev. C. A. Coleman, pastor of the Methodist Church at Curve, conducted the funeral services which ere held Saturday at the Dunavant burying ground near Double Branches. He was a member of one of the best families in Lauderdale County, a brother of our fellow townsman and present represenative in the legislature, Mr. J. Buford Mitchell.
Nankipoo - Mr. & Mrs. J. B. Mitchell attended the funeral of his brother, Mr. Hugh Mitchell (article torn). He was the son of the late Dr. Mitchell, one of Lauderdale County's first and honored settlers.
