I just finished transcribing the Mt. Pleasant Methodist
Church Cemetery at Arp, TN. Arp is a small community about 5 miles west of Ripley, TN, on hwy 19, in Lauderdale County, TN. I found a tombstone for James Albert Dougan 1881 to 1916.
Lauderdale County is farm country. Part of the county is hill land and part is river delta land. The major crops at that time would have been cotton and corn.
