I checked the new Tennessee marriage data base that Ancestry.com has, and it is a wonderful one, BUT there are certain counties that did not require marriages to be listed at the time period you need.
The following is a list of the counties that do not have marriage information for the time period, so these re the ones that you should look at the county in 1870 for them.
Chester - Clay - Crockett - Cumberland - Davidson - Decatur - Fentress - Hamblen - Hancock - Henderson - Hickeman - Houston - Humphreys - Jackson - Lake - Loudon - Macon - Marion - Moore - Pickett - Polk - Putnam - Rutherford - Shelby - Trousdale - Unicoi - Van Buren
I have checked all the other counties for their marriage, and was unable to locate one, so the last possible thing, is to check the 1870 census of the counties listed
