Hi Trish,
I'm female - Sammye Jo. The name you asked about is O'Guin. I do hope you get a chance to drop by and visit him. He is past 95. You will enjoy your visit I'm sure. It is a small world. I don't remember if I had this on the site but my grandfather owned the farm where the Stringfellow/Smith home was located. The Stringfellow/Smith cemetery was located behind this house but the fieldstones have been removed. At least we know where the cemetery was and the family buried there. I believe Sherril said Arch Brown was his mother's brother instead of his brother. Now a question for you - Lytton Brown had so much wonderful history of this area. Has it survived? I believe I have a tape that has a tiny bit of information from him about the railroad. On it he tells that the train was to go from Hohenwald to Summertown but due to being unable to get enough water, the train stopped in Hohenwald and never went on. I do hope his records are somewhere. Sammye
