Hey Sammye! In answer to your question about Daddy Brown's history...one of my cousins may have some of his records, as he had his class study genealogy for a time. I really need to just get up there to Nashville and talk to all of them. My aunt and uncle have known I've been dabbling in all this. Aunt was the one who told me that Sherrill would have a mess of knowledge and stories, so I'm thinking she doesn't have any of her fathers' stuff. Daddy Brown was an fireman for the N.C. and St. Louis Railroad beginning in 1918....then a RR engineer in 1939. His son, Joseph Lytton,Jr. sent me a newspaper clipping from The Tennessean ,dated March 16,1942 with articles about the train wreck at Thompson Crossing. There are a lot of names in it, as it killed and injured many. Names are:Robert Hargrove;A.C. Hargrove;Miss Era Humphrey;F.R.Snow,Philladelphia,PA;Barney Hutchison;L.L.Tucker; Heck! There's so many I can make a photocopy of it for you if you would like? My email addy is attilla@earthlink.net Feel free! I'd be happy to share! trish Notify Administrator about this message?
