GladysMcClain Duncan, 73,405 Greenwood, died Thuesdayafternoon atMaury CountyHospital following an extendedillness. Serviceswillbe held from the chapel ofWilliams Mt. Pleasant Furneral Home at 2:00pm today. Rev Terry Ailor, pastor ofthe FirstBaptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. A native of Lewis County, she was the dauthter of Math and Betty Kilpatrick McClain, and the wife of Graham Duncan, to whom she was married in 1924. A housewife, she was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors in addition to her husband include a duaghter, Mrs. Preston F. (Betty) Ford, Atlanta, Ga.; five sisters, Mrs. Jessie Russell, Hohenwald, Mrs. Lavonia Hamnm, Hampshire, Mrs. Madolia Oaks, Nashville, Mrs. Martha Hurst, Memphis, and Mrs. Alice Thornton, Chillicothe, Ill., a brother, Turley McClain, Hampshire; two grandchildren, Stephen P. and Randall D. Ford;and several nieces and nephews. Active pall bearers will be Math and Larry Russell, Charles M. and Glenn Duncan, Joe I. Roddy, Jr., and Mack, Jimmy and Forrest McClain.
