It is true that Swan Creek runs thru Maury and Lewis Co. At the time of the meeting you speak of there was a Cooper family living in Lewis Co. near Swan Creek Robert Melville Cooper. That part of Lewis Co. was Maury Co at that date.
The Cooper's, Polk's, Smith's, Housers, Browns, Pillows, Branch, were all friends. So it is entirely possible that they met at Robert Melville Cooper's house, since they intermarried with the Polk's and Housers. Hope that makes some sense. It not you reply and I will try to be more specific.
