Thanks for this info.
On the info. for Minerva Jane Hinson you have her birth as 1858 I have her as 1848. I show her in the 1850 census so she couldn't have been born 8 years later. :)

Also I'm not sure if it was in the info that I posted but the wife of John harrison Hinson that you have as Nan Unknown I have as Nancy Mcallister (but I don't remember where I got that info.)

A. I did not own any land but owned some personal property, horse, cows, and calves, hogs, etc.

A. No
If your parens owned land, state how many acres.
A. My father owned about 200 acres hill lands.
State as near as you can the value of your parents land
A. About $500.00 or $600.
What kind of house did your father occupy
A. Common log house, 2 rooms in it.
What kind of work did your parents do
A. Father did all sorts of farm work and mother did all kinds of housework, cooking, washing, carding, spinning, weaving, etc.
In what yr. and month and at what place did you enlist in the Confederate government
A. In January, 1863 at Bethel in Hi. Co. Tn.
What battle was the first you engaged in
A. At Thompson's Station, Tn.
The next battle I was in was at Brentwood, Tn. and I was in several small battles but was never captured or wounded in my career as a soldier. In camp our lot was very hard sometimes, not much to eat or wear.
I was never discharged. I was sent home on furlough to recruit horses. I got cut off from my command and could not get back without being in danger of capture.

What kind of work did you do when you returned home.
A. Farming. I followed farming as long as I was able to work. I lived most of the time in Hi. Co., the balance of the time in Perry Co. Tn. I served as constable 9 yrs. in Hi. Co., I have been a member of the Primitave Baptist church for about 50 yrs.

A. Berry Rickman was our Captain. Bill Cude 1st Lt., E.A. Shepard, 2nd Lt., William H. Edwards, Ord. Sargent. Members as follows:
