February 22, 1930 NASHVILLE TENNESSEAN (SPECIAL TO THE TENNESSEAN) Hohenwald, Tennessee., Feb 21-Elder Newton Henson, 84, minister of the Primitive Baptist church, and one of the oldest citizens of this county, died at his home at Kimmins, six miles north of Hohenwald, Monday, after several days serious illness. Elder Henson was widely known as a preacher, having preached in many sections of the South, including Texas, Arkansas, Alabama, and other southern state. He was moderator of the Buffalo river association of Primitive Baptist for seceral years. Besides his wife he is survived by six sons and three daughters. The sons are R.S., W.R., ROBERT, J.H., AND JONES HINSON, all of Perry County, and Harvel Hinson, Kimmins. The daughters. Mrs. W.m. Horner and Mrs Perry Hinson, Perry County, and Mrs. Albert Dunn, West Tennessee. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters, the brothers are Harvey Hinson, Perry County and Roberty Hinson, Butterfield, Ms. Funeral services will be conducted at the home at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday and burial will be in the O'Guinn cemetery at Kimmins.
