Newburg was the county seat before it was moved to Hohenwald after the civil war. The location is now very grown up & I understand nothing but a few stones from foundation of bldg. is still there. My ggrandfather was living in Newburg in 1860 along with other family members & I understand operated the PO as well as having a boarding house. Let me know if you want more.
