William Henry Burns md. Margaret Wright 1871 Lincoln County

I am searaching for information that would help me clarify something. I was given information on William Henry Burns born 17 apr 1851 (son of Nicholas MOses Burns and Elizabeth Melson). He married Margaret Wright in 1871 in Lincoln County, TN. I was given a death date for William Henry Burns of 22 Oct 1885. That date was from the family Bible. Now I have found what I believe to be Margaret Burns in the 1880 census listed as a widow. I was given information indicating two children--Annie Lizzie and Daisy M. Also listed in the 1880 census are two other children: William E. and James C. Can anyone clarify William Henry's death date for me? Did I find the wrong Margaret in 1880? Was she not a widow in 1880? Any help would be appreciated.
