In search of information on James Donald Patterson b/1837 in Georgia and later married in 1866 to Nancy Emaline Bowman (Matheney) b/1840 Roane Co Tn. These are my ggrandparents.
I have an uncashed check #2958 distrubuted June 20, 1964 by Chancery Court, Loudon County, Tn to my mother (Patterson) in reference to Snow vs Johnson which is believed to be in settlement for land. -- Apparently in the late 1800's my Patterson line was connected to this land in some way.
Any information would be appreciated.
