John Layne (born ca 1768) married Barbara DeVault (born ca 1770) on July 31, 1789 in Washington Co., VA. They settled in Marion Co., TN (Sequatchie Valley) by 1830 and raised a large family. One of their Layne descendents has had his DNA tested and if you think you might be of this family line, we would appreciate hearing from you to compare research. Thanks much. Marilyn B. Garner
