I know Lizzie STEAGALL (d: of Randolph STEAGALL) married Bartlett EDMONDS in Lunenburg Co, VA in 1819. But I can't get Bartlett EDMONDS/EDMUNDS' parents, siblings or all of his and Lizzie's children.
I can't find anyone of EITHER family (Edmonds or Steagall) on the 1820 census.
I believe they (most of both families) might have come to Tennessee by 1823.
Bartlett and Lizzie are in Rutherford Co. in the 1830.
Between 1830 and 1840 the STEAGALL's show up in Rutherford, Marshall and Williamson Counties.
By 1840 Bartlett EDMUNDS is in Marshall Co., TN where two assumed daughters married. Would love to find more confirmed names of their children. Am hoping to find James, Nancy and John born in the 1830s and an older brother born around 1823.
ASSUMED daughters are:
1. Mary Jane EDMUNDS to Jeremiah BENNETT in 1841
2. Emily EDMUNDS to Gordon DEVOUR/DEVORE in 1840.
There is no trace of any EDMONDS in the 1850 census in Marshall. Did both Bartlett and Lizzie die around the age of 50?
In the 1860 census in Marshall is a Lucy EDMONDS <1793> born in Virgina who is living next door to Lizzie's brother. I can't figure out who she is either.
