For those searching Maury Co, TN for the buriel site of Major Wall I think you need to search in Stone Co, AR. Several years ago I found where this land was sold but not recorded until somewhere in the present time. I did not get a copy of the deed. I have not done reseach on this family in several years. No. 5348 LAND OFFICE, at Batesville Arks. Dec. 29, 1851. IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED, THAT, IN PURSUANCE OF LAW, MAJOR WALL of Izard County, State of Arkansas on this day purchased of the Register of this Office, the Lot or North West quarter of the South West quarter of Section No. Twenty Eight (28) in Township No. fifteen (15) N of Range No. Eleven (11) W containing Forty (40) acres, at the rate of one dollar and twenty five cents per acre, amounting to Fifty dollars and no cents, for which the said MAJOR WALL hath made payment in full as required by law. Now therefore be it known, That, on presentation of this Certificate to the Commissioner of the General Land Office, the said MAJOR WALL shall be entitled to receive a Patent for the lot above described. March 1, 1855, Book 15, page 96. Noland Receiver The United States of America E 203 Certificate No 5648 or 5348 To all to whom these Presents shall come, Greeting: Whereas Major Wall of Izard County, Arkansas Deposited in the GENERAL LAND OFFICE of the United States, a Certificate of the Register of the Land Office at Batesville whereby it appears that full payment has been made by the said Major Wall according to the provisions of the Congress of the 21 April, 1820, entitled "An act amking further provision for the slae of the Public Lands," for the North West quarter of the South West quarter of Section Twenty Eight in Township Fifteen, North of Range Eleven West in the District of Lands subject to sale at Batesville, Arkansas containing Forty acres. According to the official plat of the Survey of the said Lands, returned to the General Land Office by the Surveror General, which said tract has been pruchased by the said Major Wall. Now Know YE, That the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, in consideration of the premises, and in conformity with the several acts of Congress, such case made and provided, HAVE GIVEN AND GRANTED, and by these present DO GIVE AND GRANT, the said Major Wall and his heirs, the said tract above described: To Have and to Hold the same, together with all the rights, _____? immunities, and appurtenances of whatsoever nature, thereunto belonging, unto the said MAJOR WALL and to his heirs and assigns forever. IN TESTIMONEY WHEREOF, I, Franklin Pierce PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, have caused these Letters to be made PATENT, and the Seal of the General Land Office to be hereunto affixed.
