On 29 Oct 1866, Ambrose Lee SIKES of Lincoln County, TN married Nancy Van POWELL in Maury County, TN. Her father, Ambrose POWELL, had died in TN @1852, and her mother Mary Ellen CURTIS had remarried a Newton HAYES. The new family consisted of at least 4 daughters and a son in 1860. They had another daughter named Mary Bladen HAYES, and another named Rebecca Margaret Hayes, and maybe others, that I believe to be born in Maury County. I would appreciate any help with any of these families, especially their connections with Maury County or the nearby counties.
