William Hood/Sarah E. (McCall?) Hood Ancestors from McMinn County

Can anyone help me find ancestors for William Hood b. abt. 1796, d. 19 May 1846, Greene County, Missouri, m. Sarah E. McCall 28 Oct 1817 in McMinn County, Tennessee, daughter of John McCall and Elizabeth (Black) McCall. Sarah was b. 1797 in North Carolina, d. 01 Mar 1894, Greene County, Missouri.

William and Sarah's children were;
Duncan Hood
Catharine J. Hood
Nancy Ann Hood
William J. Hood
Amos Hardy Hood
Mary A. Hood

William and Sarah left Tennessee somewhere around 1836 and setteled in Greene County, Missouri. The problem is that I can't find any information on who William's father was or where they came from. Anyone having any information on this William Hood or his ancestors, please contact me. I have a lot of his descendants and would be happy to share information with you.
