Yes, I have seen all of these records. I have paintstakingly tried to sort everyone out. This family of H.H Turner is the only time I have ever seen Jefferson listed. But I don't know if it is the same Jefferson or not. His family has never known who his parents were and his death certificate does not indicate who they were.
I do not know if Jane and Jennette are the same person or not. And does that make Jefferson illigitimate?
It looks like Haysher divorced his first wife and remarried and had one son named Haysher also. His first name is spelled a million different ways.
I have a copy of the will but I cannot read it very well. Maybe I will get another one and I can make sense of it. I have looked at the census records.
Jefferson Davis Turner disappears in 1870 and 1880, I think. I know I cannot find him in every census after he is born. Maybe they hid him!
Thanks for the reply. Maybe someone else will have an idea. I have no way to prove if this is him or not.
