Hi Betty,
Your original query was some time ago so perhaps you already have youranswer. Pinhook Landing was on the east side of the Tennessee River just west of Peakland at the location of the park at Watts Barr Dam. Emery and Little Emery Rivers are in now Morgan county TN. My ggg grandfather Abram/Abraham Davis was also from the Emery Rivers area and went to Rhea/Meigs county in the early 1820s, first settleing at Ten Mile. Eventually he lived at Pinhook Landing where he farmed and built flat boats. My gg grandfather John Lawrence also lived there and helped Abram. My family left in 1843/44 for Johnson county Missouri.
Warren
