Town of Buttsville??

Hi I recently received Civil War Pension records for a family member which indicate that he lived in the town of Buttsville, Meigs Co TN. When I looked at a recent map it appears that this town (with its rather unfortunate name!) no longer exists. Could anyone please tell me where the town was, and what census district it was in? I suspect this family member may have been there in the 1870 census.
