This is what I have found on John Gaither and "Bessie" Knox. Would appreciate any information, marriage dates, family of Evan Knox

FIRST GENERATION

1. John Gaither KNOX was born on August 15, 1877 in Greene County, TN. He died on January 14, 1961 in Meigs County, TN. He was buried in Decatur Cemetery, Meigs County, TN. Source:1910, 1920 and 1930 Meigs County, TN census, Iva is not in the 18930 census, but Evans, 18, is.

He was married to Susan Elizabeth (Bessie) GRAHAM (daughter of Samuel A. GRAHAM and Martha J. FARMER) about 1906 in Meigs County, TN. Susan Elizabeth (Bessie) GRAHAM was born on May 26, 1883 in Meigs County, TN. She died on November 24, 1954 in Meigs County, TN. She was buried in Decatur Cemetery, Meigs County, TN. John Gaither KNOX and Susan Elizabeth (Bessie) GRAHAM had the following children:

       +2       i.       Iva E. KNOX (born on August 27, 1907).
       +3       ii.       Evan KNOX (born in 1912).

SECOND GENERATION

2. Iva E. KNOX was born on August 27, 1907 in Meigs County, TN. She died on May 2, 1953 in Meigs County, TN. She was buried in Decatur Cemetery, Meigs County, TN.

She was married to Carl HARMON (son of William HARMON and Lydia BAKER). Carl HARMON was born on March 6, 1904. He died on May 2, 1953 in Meigs County, TN. He was buried in Decatur Cemetery, Meigs County, TN. Carl, Iva and daughter Doris were all killed in a tornado in Meigs County on May 2, 1953.
There were no other children. Iva E. KNOX and Carl HARMON had the following children:

       4       i.       Doris HARMON was born on October 9, 1938 in Meigs County, TN. She died on May 2, 1953 in Meigs County, TN.

3. Evan KNOX was born in 1912 in Meigs County, TN. Said to have lived in California.

He was married to Sarah LEGG.
