Ginger Weeks, I have a copy of "Meigs County, Tennessee, Census and Marriage Records 1850 through 1900", by Broyles, 1983 which has Cooley census records from 1850 through 1900, and a number of marriage records. I also have a copy of "Meigs County, TN Cemetery Recods", 1996. There are two Cooley Cemeteries listed. The Cooley Cemetery, North of Decatur and off Hwy 68, lists only four Cooley's, Chapman 2/71824 - 2/28/1905; Ginity America 9/21/1821 - 8/23/1897, w/o C.; Permelia Jane, 4/15/1859 - ???;and Elijah Albert, 5/23/1856 - 12/22/1870. Other surnames in the cemetery, James, Carter, Hotal, Hicks, and Long. The Cooley- Evans Cemetery is located near the Meigs-Roane County border and has three graves. Only two are identified, Todd Cooley and a male Unk Evans, The Rocky Springs Cemetery, also off Hwy 68, has these Cooley's listed, Benjamun F,. Ross, Johnnie, Josie, J.J. (John), and Margaret. I also have a copy of " A Comppendium of Rhea and Meigs Counties, TN 1808 - 1850", by Broyles. Robert Cooley names on 1823 tax list, and in 1830 Rhea cemsus 1840, 1850 Meigs census, and one marriage, and Miscellaneous records re Robert Cooley.
