Sue, received 3 enails, but so far, not able to send you an email. The email goes to the "Hold" folder and I can't get it to "send".
"Sue, received three email's from you today. I'll respond after I compare the Whitmore info in your earlier email. I doubt that I can add very much. I have three books, Meigs County Cemetery, Meigs County Census and Marriage Records, 1850-1900, and Rhea and Meigs Census and other records, 1808-1850.
I was born in Meigs County in 1921 on Price's Creek. The Lewis Cemetery where Townley and Charity Riggs are buried is abt three miles away. I seem to remember "Whitmore Springs" being somewhere between Price's Creek and Big Springs in Meigs County, have you?
I descend from Townley and Charity's daughter, Jane, who married James Collins. Another daughter married a Gamble.
I have the Whitmore and Godsey marriages, although I have later mariage dates. Do you have any children for the two Whitmore-Godsey marriages.
Roy"
Try sending me another email and I try again to send you one.
Roy
