Dear Iris,

Thank you kindly for your response to my query. Your Meshack Hale is not in my husband's line that I know about but you did give me a very interesting piece of information that I will have to chase: SINKING CREEK.

There is a Sinking Creek in Montgomery County, VA that could very well have flowed across the state line into TN.

I do not have any copies of deeds from TN yet. My husband got sick, is now an invalid, and that cut off my wandering days to court houses, cemeteries, etc. (And we are both elderly, much as I do not like to admit it.)

If I find anything interesting, or should you find some, please send me a message, as I will you. Since these people lived in the late 1700's, only those of us who are researching them will be interested.

Take care and HAPPY RESURRECTION DAY!

Jacqueline Drake Clepper
