Iris, thank you so much for trying to help me. I sincerely appreciate it. The only thing I can think of is that either they did not marry in Tennessee or they used (either one of them) a middle name rather than a first name. I am beginning to believe that Richard was a middle name and not a first name because I can't find any Richards to fit my family other than the one time he shows up in the 1860 Census in Bradley County, Tn. with wife Martha M. and the three girls (Maree C, Liza Jane and Minerva).
