Henderson Co., TN - MOODY's

I believe that the MOODY's of Henderson Co., TN may have a Ydna connection to our Moody's of SC and NC. I have ydna matches to the MOODY's of Guilford, Rowan, Stokes and Surrey Co., NC (and other areas too), also Moody's of the Nashville area of TN, Giles Co., TN, Bedford Co., TN and many other places. We also have Ydna connections to the MOODY's of Darlington Co., SC (the John MOODY line where common first names are ANDREW, ASA, LEVI, GILBERT, HUGH, ROBERT, JOHN, JAMES and JESSE Moody.
I also believe we would share Ydna with the Marion Co., SC Moody's as well but so far no one has been ydna tested to represent the line extending from Robert MOODY, Sr. and wife known only as "Ester".

If there are any Henderson Co., TN male born MOODY's willing to take a simple Ydna test it would be fun to once and for all know if we are all one big Moody family or not.
We have the capabilities today to once and for all PROVE our lineage lines via Ydna testing which takes all the guess-work and assumptions out of our often times erroneous old family genealogies.
Several in our Moody ydna project have found out that they have been celebrating the wrong Moody lines for many many generations after getting their ydna results.
This year I believe one batch is going to be celebrating their first Correct Family Reunion after nearly 100 years of celebrating the wrong line to whom they all ~thought~ they had belonged to.
We've had a lot of fun with our small group of Ydna Moody cousins and learned a lot about them.
We know that our particular lineage line started out with the Norwegian Vikings who most likely left Norway during their era and landed on Scotland and stayed there for a while so several of our generations would have been born in Scotland. Several of the generations made their way to Nor. Ireland and so we have a couple of generations that were born in the Co. Londonderry, Antrim, Down and probably other counties of Northern Ireland as well before immigrating to North America.
My exact matching Moody family lived in Nova Scotia so we are spread out all over. Other near matching Ydna Moody families have their earliest known Moody ancestor as Thomas MOODY b.c1710 in/of Aghadowey, Co. L'derry, Ireland who married Jean McQUISTON daug. of Benjamin McQuiston and they came over from Nor. Ireland in c1735 to New Castle, DE and then moved to PA where they lived for a while but them removed to Guilford Co., NC.
Several of their descendants went to OH, KY, ARK, AL, MO, MS, TN, perhaps SC, and then out west and other places.
We have learned quite a lot about our ever growing GENETIC Moody families and its been a great deal of fun and interesting to share family photo's and notice how much our ancestors looked alike.
If anyone here with Henderson Co., TN male born MOODY's is interested in doing a simple Ydna test via FTDNA (37 marker test is required in order to PROVE genealogical relationships, anything less than a 37 marker test will yield possible incorrect results...we've had it happen so I know), but here is the Link to our MOODY Ydna Surname Project page and our Admin. Bob MOODY is most helpful. His email addy is on there under a Highlighted "Clickable" text as I call them.

We hope you will consider joining us in our ever growing Moody family of Vikings from Norway to Scotland to Nor. Ireland to America.
