I would appreciate help in locating the birth place of Hampton or Hamilton Mitchell born Sept. 10, 1816 in TN. His father was from PA and his mother from TN. Hamilton came to Massac Co. IL before 1838 as he was living with his brother either Jas. W. or John W. Mitchell as listed on the 1840 Census for Pope Co. IL.
