Possibly a starting point:

1880 Federal Census - Tennessee - Overton County - 1st Civil District - Supervisor's District 2 - Enumeration District 85 - Page 8 - Lines 33-48

Here are several families of WARDEN's. On line 39 is a 12-year-old boy named Granville. He would have been about the same age as Nancy. He was born TN, his father VA, his mother TN.

Do you have all the Washington death certificates and obituaries for these folks you listed? There might be some Tennessee-origin clues buried in them.
