Chamberlain Greenhill - David Greenhill

I need some information to prove Chamberlain (Champ) Greenhill was the son of David Greenhill. I used the book "Claiborne of Virginia" by John Frederick Dorman page 136-137 as proof to get into several societies (SAR, Jamestowne, etc.), but have a rejection on my niece on a DAR application.

The DAR states that the source #380 Information provided by Richard F. Greenhill, Hillsboro, Texas is not a sufficient source. It does not show where he got his information. I have been in contact with Richard F. Greenhill, but he has no real source information. He obtained his information from a lady in Tennessee who would be 100-115 years of age and is deceased.

Do you or anyone else you know of have source information I am looking for? The court houses in Franklin County, Alabama burned three times and there are no deeds, wills, or any information I can find as proof. I am at a dead end without some help. Do you have any suggestions?
