I was wondering if someone could tell me where to look for church records in Virginia? My ancestor was Robert Newson , b, 12 Aug 1827. On one of the census records he states that both of his parents were born in Virginia but, he was born in Tennessee. I have read that back then most of the Newsom family were Baptist. I am trying to find out who Robert's parents were. I want to do a complete search in case the info that he was born in Tennessee is an error. Thank you!
