Your Reuben was also too young to have served in the Civil War.

Here's a possible match from the 1875 Kansas State Census:

1875 Kansas State Census
Monticello Twp., Johnson Co, p. 27
William Ridley 48 m w farming $1000r TN came to KS from GA
Emily Ridley 40 f w TN
Warren Ridley 22 m w TN
Bascom Ridley 19 m w TN
Reubin Ridley 16 m w TN
Babe Ridley 13 m w GA
Hattie Ridley 11 f w GA
Maggie Ridley 9 f w GA
James Ridley 5 m w KS
Charles Ridley 2 m w KS

I can't find them in 1870, but here they are in 1860 Polk Co, TN. The Reuben above isn't listed unless he's the 11 month old William.

1860 Federal census
District 5, Polk Co, TN, p. 90
William Ridery? 33 m farm GA
Evline? Ridery? 20 f TN
Warren Ridery? 8 m TN
Louisa Ridery? 6 f TN
Blanklin? Ridery? 4 m TN
William Ridery? 11/12 m TN
