We have noticed the age being wrong on William C. from 1860 to 1870. We believe someone else gave the information which happened a lot.

A have received a email from Someone this morning that gives me a marriage for William C. SMITH to a Dolly DIXON 08-November-1874 Saline county, IL.
So Mary Hartman must have passed away sometime after the 1870's census.

The 1860 and the 1870 census does have the correct age for wife Mary and son William A. SMITH for the time span.

West End was located between Thompsonville and Galatia, Illinois. You will not find it listed on a map we have tried searching for it. I only know of it because I have a relative on my mothers side that lives near where it once was!
Some of it was located in Franklin County and small piece of it was in Saline County, Illinois.
But it is now a ghost town, I believe it has about three homes still standing and a trailer last time I was there.
