My mother was Dorothy Hendricks from Saint Jo, TX. Her father was Samuel Starling Hendricks. His father was Jesse Hendricks, orphan from TN (around Giles). One of mother's brothers was James, who passed about 2 years ago in TX. I was born in Muenster, TX. I am 65. You should get into the gene pool to determine your lineage. It is only about $200. I had mine done to determine native amount (mine is 16% but not sure where it came from), but males can tell their line all the way back. I think they are compiling a book about the pioneers that went through the south. Exciting, huh? I went through TN last year to do research, but came up empty handed. Hope your search is much more fruitful.

Sandy (now live in NM and retired)
