Information on linage of Major General William Moore

I am looking for information on the lineage of the man for which Moore county was named after. I know he was from Kentucky. He fought in the Creek War and the War of 1812. He also served in House of Representatives.

Does anyone know where in Kentucky he was from?

I would be interested in anything on his lineage too.

Any information would be appreciated. Spelling of names may vary.
