Bobby, I cannot help you with your Sikes of Lincoln CO., TN. However I have been wondering why some of the people I have been researching went from Lincoln CO., TN to Obion CO., TN. All these people lived in the Norris Creek, now Belleville, TN LCT area in 1850. By 1860 they where in Obion CO. then some went on to Green CO. AR. John Harbison 1805-1860 and wife Mary Ann Wright Harbison 1819-1900 Their dau: Anna Malinda Harbison Dollins 1839-1931 & husband Andrew A. Dollins 1828-1900 Andrew's brother: James D. Dollins 1828-1902, he had wife 1 Sarah E. Harbin and wif. 2 Purcinda F. Rowland, believe he was married to Purcinda when he went to Obion CO. A little later Mary Ann Wright Harbison's sister Elizabeth Wright Cone/Cane and husband William Cone/Cane were in Lincoln CO., TN 1850, Maury CO., TN 1860 and Obion CO., TN 1870 I think only a couple of Wm Cone and wife Elizabeth Wright Cone/Cane children stayed in Obion CO., TN I have no idea what took them to Obion. From what I understand of the history of Obion CO. the rail road went in ca 1853. There was an epidemic in the 1870's that killed a lot of people and many left. Perhaps there was land to be had.
