I think your Morrises may be closely related to a family I've recently been researching.
I'm trying to track a William Morris, who was born abt. 1796 in NC or SC, and who died 1850-1860, probably in Obion Co., KY.
He married Nancy, daughter of Mark Lindsey and Mary Jane Dinsmore, abt. 1825. Before moving to TN, this family lived in Lawrence-Morgan Co., AL.
By 1860, Nancy and her children were in Fulton Co., KY, and after that in Hickman Co. The children I have for William and Nancy are Charles W., Louisa, Clara, William Burke, Bascom, and Nimrod.
