Nancy ANN was the daughter of Thomas Fearneyhough and Agatha Lucas which I have proven with documents that she is Ann Martin referred to in William Lucas Will 1813. and from William Lucas Will in which he states "Item I give to my grandchildren, ANN MARTIN, John Farneyhough, Milton Farneyhough, Sarah Farneyhough and Agatha Farneyhough, my tract of land whereon Thomas Farneyhough now lives lying on both sides of March Run to be equally divided among them, when the youngest child arrives to lawful age, to them and their heirs forever." "Item: I give to my five grandchildren ANN MARTIN, John Fearneyhough, Milton Fearneyhough, Sarah Fearneyhough and Agatha Fearneyhough the negroes that are now in their possession, Nannie? and all her children and Lucy with all her future increase besides what I have before given them to be equally divided among them, to them and their heirs forever." And the following document. D. B. 32. p. 336, 26 July 1828. Indenture between ANN MARTIN, gdn. for JOHN and JOSEPH MARTIN, the children of Wm. Martin, dec'd, of the county of Overton and State of Tenn. and Robert Cave and Michael Eheart of the County of Orange of the other part. Witness sd. Signed by: (probably by JOHN MARTIN, VA.) Thomas Smith as he had pwr. of atty. (rs) Brice Martin Thos. Martin John Martin Joseph Martin (Michael Eheart is a grandson named in the will of William Lucas and Robert Cave and John Lucas were Executors. In court documents in Overton Co., TN which are too lenghty to put on the board NANCY (not ANN) stated in Dec. 1828 "I married William Martin 15 yr. ago this month in Orange Co. Va. and shortly thereater we went about 200 mi. to Henry Co. amd that is when I got in the family of MARTIN" which would be Dec. 1812. I have just transcribed the complete Will of William Lucas as the ones I had found had left a lot out. He named his ch. and I think 16 grandchildren. I know that there were more grandchildren as he did not name all of his dght. Sarah's ch. and some were b. later or had moved away and he did not know them. William and Nancy went to Overton Co., TN. and he died interstate bef. Dec. 1818 as he was deceased when Brice Martin made his will. Brice d. bet. Dec. 1818 when he wrote his will, and Mar. 1819 when his will was proven. I will be glad to share information with anyone interested, contact me. Ruby Sharp Notify Administrator about this message?
